Tailgate and High Beams...The Story of Ugh!

January 1, 2014.  11:30 PM......Worst driving experience ever.  Even worst than when I collided with the off duty cop (his fault, my right of way....RIP CRV.  Horrible situation all around and glad everyone came out of it unscathed)  I said my goodbyes to Raphy for the night and headed to Vallejo from Alameda when I came upon the I 80/McArthur Split towards Sacramento.  I was driving my mom's car that night.

It was a 2 lane roadway, I taking the left and another the right, when a truck/large car came from behind and hastily over passed the driver on the right and then me.  Startled I beamed him but managed to turn on instead of click.....Yeah......totally my fault there.   I just wanted down tell him/her to calm down and stop being erratic.  I made two mistakes there.  One, I really shouldn't have done that.  And two, this person is probably going to be insane.  Horrible judgement on my part for doing so in the first place.

Well....as we got up the freeway, he slowed down.  Possibly to get behind me I thought.  Well, panic kicked in and I just wouldn't let him do it so I slowed down behind him as well. Well, we went on and stayed on the left lane while he moved over towards the right lane near the University Ave exit.  He then sped up and followed me...tailgaited and high beamed me while on the left lane from then on.  Not sure what came over me at that time.  Well, aside from a lot of regret.  I decided that the best thing was to keep cool and just drive like he wasn't behind me.  The driver kept at it until another car came in between us near El Cerrito.  Bless that guy.  Not sure if he/she was trying to save me lol, but it allowed me to get away.  So I thought.  That didn't last and managed to get behind me again all the way to where the Pinole Shopping Center was.  From there, he pulled up next to me.  I really didn't want to react so that I wouldn't ager that driver any further.  I kept my speed and the driver just passed me.  O M G!  I let out a sigh of relief and there the toes controlling the gas pedal began to shake.  That was absolutely the FUCKING scariest experience ever!!!

I pulled back a bit on speed and hid behind a slow car when I managed to scurry off to the right lane. Off a distance away, never took my eyes off of the truck/big car, I watched as it either disappeared further ahead or turn right on the Highway 4 exit.

Kept going toward Vallejo, across the Fastrack toll booth (Cheese!)  at around midnight.

I kind of wanted to write this blog post to remind myself of how stupid drivers like that guy and drivers (cough) like me (cough) can turn into compile dicks on the roadway.  I have to try harder not to do that next time.

I also wanted to write this post so that my mom wouldn't get in trouble for what I did.  My mistake.  My responsibility.

WoW!  What a way to start a blog and a New Year!
